Atos V
A rigid wing with a definite superiority in concept and performance when compared to its former and present rival models. In spite of the high aspect ratio a wing with the most straightforward flight characteristics that have been reached by rigid wings up to now.
Even with the flaps full down yawing and swaying is impossible. At high speeds the fine coordinated and regulated steering by means of the spoilers is, even for inexperienced pilots, a child's play. The large steering and landing flaps work, by increasing lift in curved flight as well as by increasing drag during landing approach (glide ratio 1:5), very well. The minimum sink of 0.7 m/sec is unbeatable by any type of foot laun-ched flying machine. The best glide, compared to previous and presently competing models (same pilot, harness and weight regulation), remains clearly superior.
